Iowa woman tries 'tapeworm diet', prompts doctor warning
Fri Aug 16, 2013
I think the horrendous social stigma put on any woman over a size 0 is to blame. We are constantly fed an ideal of beauty that is impossible in real life. And for those of you who think fat people are all lazy - shame on you. Many of us have tried repeatedly to lose, and the old "time tested" eat le …
Heavy burden: Obesity may be even deadlier than thought
Thu Aug 15, 2013
I think fat people are dying because doctors refuse to treat them until they lose weight. Many conditions cause fat as a side effect. for some people it's just a body type. I know people who died of treatable diseases because all the doctor would do is look at them and say "you'll be fine when you l …
Supreme Court rules for couple over baby girl's adoption
Tue Jun 25, 2013
As an adoptee, I am 100% certain that the parents who have loved and raised the child should always win out over biological parents who haven't.

2-gallon a day cola habit linked to woman's death
Wed Feb 13, 2013
There isn't enough room on any product for enough labeling for all the stupid things people can do. The warnings are already getting stupid - my sunshield for my car had a label that said "Don't drive with this in place." I feel for this woman's family, but in no way was the soft drink to blame.
Happy Halloween! Now let's talk holiday shopping
Wed Oct 31, 2012
Christmas belongs after Thanksgiving. I ignore anything Christmassy that comes out before - and if it's too blatant, I avoid that store.
Motherhood overrated? 'Childfree' women OK with their choice, study finds
Thu Oct 11, 2012
Ryan: having kids is no guarantee that they'll take care of you when they're old. I have a friend who raised as selfish a pair of girls as you'll ever find. they're in their 20s, and have never so much as bought their mother a birthday or Christmas present. Yet she thinks they'll take care of her wh …
'Sketti': Would you eat ketchup, butter and noodles?
Fri Sep 14, 2012
I hate ketchup in general, and this sounds really gross to me. You can get a can of spaghetti sauce for a dollar. I've eaten spaghetti with melted butter and garlic, but it's a comfort food splurge not a weekly occurrence.
